Premium Thick Walnut Chopping Board
Made in the USA.
Our cutting boards are made from the highest quality hardwoods, sourced from responsibly managed companies that get their hardwood from sustainable forests.
Each cutting board is made by myself and is carefully finished with either a mix of mineral oil and wood waxes or a refined coconut oil finish that is also widely considered one of the best cutting board finishes. For this particular cutting board we used coconut oil to keep the finish natural and give the cutting board extra protection.
This cutting board comes in at 1.25" thick, which is thicker than most of our other cutting boards. It comes with all the corners and edges rounded making the cutting board easier to handle. It was sanded and burnished carefully before being finished to keep the cutting board both smooth and beautiful. If needed, we use food safe glue to join boards together to get the width needed.

As stated before, walnut has lots of natural properties that make it great for cutting boards. Some of these advantages are that it is naturally antimicrobial and fights off germs very well, it has self healing properties, and is hard enough to withstand wear from knives without completely dulling the edges of your knives.
Our processing time is between 1-7 days, and we use both UPS Ground Saver and UPS Ground when shipping items out. This gives us enough time to make a high quality cutting board for you without you having to wait too long.
A few things to consider once you get your cutting board:
Don't soak your cutting board in water, this can lead to your cutting board absorbing all that water and warping and cracking.
Don't put the cutting board in the dishwasher, this is similar to the point above in which it will soak that water in and warp or crack.
Refinishing your cutting board depends on the use. In general, it is widely considered good to refinish your cutting board once or twice per year.
